Praised be the Incarnate Word!
As Sister Lauren stated in her opening remarks, "If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough." The day was one of deep gratitude at Incarnate Word Academy as the community celebrated the completion of the Academic Building and Young Leaders Conference Center. His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo presided over the historic Blessing and Dedication.

The IWA Young Leaders Program is an innovative 4-year character and leadership development program that provides each student the unique opportunity to develop in-demand leadership skills built upon a foundation of strong personal character. IWA is one of the only high schools in the country to combine collegiate level curriculum and experiential opportunities in order to ensure that our graduates are prepared to take on leadership roles in college and life. The leadership curriculum is packaged as the Young Leaders Concentration - a series of 4 courses available to those students who desire an in-depth exposure to the leadership discipline. These courses leverage nationally recognized materials from institution such as Santa Clara University and IWA’s partnership with The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Graduating from IWA with a concentration in Leadership makes our students stand out and prepared to significantly impact their communities.

Our mission is to foster student growth in the values of the Gospel. Students are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Christ, the Incarnate Word, and are given opportunities to grow in their faith through religious studies, retreats, participation in the Liturgy, service projects and prayer services.
IWA has met or exceeded all the expectations we had for our daughter’s high school experience. We give back because we want to be the leaders we are asking our daughter to be.

On my IWA tour, one student looked at me out in the hallway. She smiled, waved, and simply said, "You need to come to IWA! We love it here.” IWA girls want everyone to experience the same spirit, love, and pride for our school.

The Young Leaders Program is dedicated to empowering young women, even those who feel like they are not “leader material.” I can say from experience that being a part of YLP has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone in ways I hadn’t imagined.
