Financial Aid
Incarnate Word Academy strives to assist students who need financial aid. For the 2010-2011 school year, approximately 25% of the student body receive some form of financial aid. Applicants are notified of their financial aid status by mid-March. For more information about financial aid, please contact the Admissions Director at 713.227.3637, ext. 117.
Incarnate Word Academy will consider students for financial aid based on the following criteria:
1) A completed Financial Aid Application Form submitted to IWA.
2) A completed Private School Aid Service Application mailed to PSAS. See address below. (Spanish version application also available.)
3) For incoming freshmen: First consideration will be given to those applicants who rank IWA as their first choice on the entrance exam test.
The application deadline for financial aid for the 2011-2012 school year is February 17, 2011. Financial aid is awarded for one year only. Applicants will be notified by letter in mid-March of 2011. Students awarded financial aid will be required to complete a number of service hours for the school based on how much aid they receive.
Private School Aid Service (PSAS)*
PSAS is an independent third party that handles all aspects of the financial aid application and verification process. All financial aid monies are awarded by IWA based on a report from PSAS. Please note that PSAS does not award any scholarships or tuition assistance.

The completed PSAS form, and a $20.00 check payable to Private School Aid Service, must be mailed to:
